Singapore 2009 : I spent just three days in Singapore, on a two week trip to Malaysia. We got there by the overland train from Malaysia, went to sleep in Jeretut, woke up in Singapore. Very painless!
I went to some museums, the zoo, which was fantastic, the botanic gardens, Chinatown and Little India, as well as strolling around other random parts of the town. Ah, and had fancy tea in a special shop in Chinatown. The underground rail is fantastic, and the city is just made for pedestrians.

Myanmar 2007 : We went to Burma in April 2007 - not at all advised, as April is the hottest month of the year. Temps were up to high 30's (deg C) in Bagan, it was absolute hell out on the sandy tracks exploring the temples after 10am - up to 4pm. However the sunrises and sunsets were fabulous. I hadn't quite figured out how to take raw pics on this trip, and thought that 2 x 1gb cards would suffice. Ah. Lessions learnt.

Laos 2006-7 : Photos taken during my year of living in Lao, 2006-2007. I was working as an Australian Youth Ambassador, first on a land titling project, then doing GIS training with WWF and WCS. Working with Lao government was a real eye-opener. Aside from work, the people of Lao are lovely, the food is fantastic, and there are many things to do and see.

I purchased a DSLR to take on this trip, and hadn't used a real camera for years. It was a real learning curve, but there was lots to practice on.

Cambodia 2007 : We went to Cambodia for a couple of weeks mid-2007. The temples and food were awesome. This was my first big outing with my digital camera, so I was just learning the ropes. I had only just figured out how to make raw files...and only brought 4gb worth of CF cards - I learnt from the Burma trip, but not enough!
